So Anahi had talked to us about surprising her husband, Chris with some family pictures for their anniversary. They got all dressed up on Saturday, and headed to the location only for the first hard rain of the summer to get here 15 minutes before them.
We decided to reschedule for the next day. It was beautiful outside and everything looked great....until about 15 minutes before the shoot :) The clouds started rolling in, the thunder started booming, and the sprinkles started landing. We decided to roll with the punches this time. It was extremely overcast in the "clear" skies, and extremely dark in the "troubled" skies....we pressed on though.
Thanks to Chris, Anahi, and their adorable son Ethan for being so intent on getting these pictures no matter what. I hope they enjoy the shots we got. It was a good time and they were a beautiful family to shoot.

Forgive me. Old Pictures / New Post
I didn't have the blog when I took these photos, but these are just too cute to not share. They are from when my nephew was 10 days old at their home. Coincidentally, my camera was 10 days old as well, so I was still trying to figure things out on that bad boy. I guess that's still the case, though! :)

So Seth and his family go to our church, and he's graduating...well, tonight. His mom had asked us about doing a session for him before the big day, and we figured it would be great to do some more portrait work, so we obliged. It was a good time. He apparently wants to be a model, but we were able to crack a few smiles from him every now and then :)
It was a blazing hot and sunny day, so that was a fun variation of the constant weather woes that I seem to experience any time I am not taking photos JUST for fun. Rachel was as helpful as ever with the poses and equipment (Although we did have a scare where somehow we left my bag full of lenses and gear clear across the park).
Either way - I hope that Seth and his mom like these. I think we got a few gems out of the shoot for sure. Enjoy!

So Katie, a friend of ours, is graduating this year and called us to see if we could possibly bust out some senior portraits for her. They needed to have them printed and sent out with invitations within the next week and a half, so we figured we could help her out.
It was a really fun shoot. We decided to drive to several locations, rather just just one spot. Rachel was a HUGE help for me on this one as far as posing her, fixing her clothes/hair, and making sure the overall positions were natural and flattering. She also was key in helping me to proof them and find the gems. Anyways, I loved a chance to sharpen my skills. I hope you like them Katie!
- Aaron & Rachel

So this weekend, Rachel and I went on a little shoot with my sister, brother-in-law, and their newly born kiddo. (my favorite nephew)
Anyways - it was an interesting day. It was actually our first official "photoshoot" where we needed to pose them and find locations, props, etc... It was a fun little challenge. Anyway - to add to the complication of it being a first time (and trying to photo a new born baby WITH his family) the weather decided not to cooperate either. We were dodging the rain like it was nobody's business. Take a few shots, jump under umbrellas, coverings, and trees, take a few more, dry off the seat, cover the camera, take a few more, etc... :)
All-in-all though, we had fun and they took us for some tasty dinner afterwards at Brio. I really hope they enjoy these photos along with all of the others i've taken of the little one since he's been born. Here goes...
